Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, W1D 4HT , [Venue Details]Phil Meadows has received two Parliamentary Jazz Awards, a London Music Award and the Peter Whittingham Jazz Award for his music.
He’s the founder and artistic director of the Engines Orchestra, has conducted the Grammy-award winning Metropole Orkest, been commissioned by the Royal Northern Sinfonia and recorded and performed across Europe with his own music as well as in collaboration with Matthew Herbert, Phronesis, Ingrid Jensen and Femi Temowo. Tonight’s band has been curated by Meadows who joins on sax and acts as musical director.
Every Friday and Saturday night, following the second show, Ronnie Scott’s presents the Late Late Show, where some of the UK’s finest jazz talents take to the stage for a late night blowing session. We are changing the vibe with music that includes and is influenced by jazz-funk, soul, R&B and hip hop.
